Day1: Bangkok - Rom-Hub Railway Market & Damnoen Saduak Floating Market –Kanchanaburi (F)

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - Kanchanaburi: Approximately 115 km, ~2 hours' drive. Afterbreakfast at the hotel, we embark on a short journey away from the bustling streets of Bangkok, and the towering urban landscape transforms into lush green rural serenity. This full-day excursion to the Samut Songkhram province,located just an hour outside the capital, allows guests to experience the traditional charm of Thai countryside.

The day begins with a visit to the Mae Klong Railway Markets, where a rural market has sprung up along the train tracks. When a train arrives at or departs from thestation, vendors swiftly clear their stalls, only to rebuild them moments later once the train has passed! From here, the journey continues to the well-known Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Although somewhat touristy today, the market still provides the best example of what a floating market looked like decades ago. A relaxing paddleboat ride through the maze of canals offers the opportunity to see the old section of the floating market and local life along the canal. After the boat ride, it's time to explore the vibrant floating market bustling with boats and vendors selling tropical fruits and other delicacies. For visits on a Saturday or Sunday, the tour offers the choice between visiting Damnoen Saduak or the smaller and less touristy Tha Kha Floating Markets, where a short paddleboat ride into the backwaters allows a visit to an old Thai house where palm sugar is made. We then head to Kanchanaburi, making a stop to visit the World War II memorial, including the cemetery. Visit the Kwai River Bridge. Take a seat for a train ride along the river's tracks for about 30 minutes. Transfer to the city for the overnightstay. Overnight in Kanchanaburi.

Day 2: Kanchanaburi – Ayutthaya (F)

we head to Ayutthaya. The ancient city of Ayutthaya,also known as the "Venice of the East," is located along the Chao Phraya River and its tributaries, surrounding the Ayutthaya province. Founded in 1350 by King Uthong, when the Thai people had to migrate from the north to the south due to pressure from their northern neighbors, many monuments and remnants from that time can be visited in this city. We take a Kermit Tuk-Tuk. These "cute" Tuk-Tuks can only be found in two provinces in Thailand: Ayutthaya and Trang. During the ride, we explore the city's temple highlights, including Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Mahathat (with a Buddha face emerging from a tree), and stroll through a local market on the way to Wat Phra Srisanphet. We spend the night in Ayutthaya.

Day 3: Ayutthaya – Monkey Town Lopburi - Sukhothai – Explore Sukhothai by Bicycles (F)

Lopburi– Sukhothai: Approximately 310 km, ~5.5 hours' drive.

Today, we leave Ayutthaya and continue our car journey to Sukhothai via Uthai Thani and Phitsanulok. Along the way, we stop to visit Monkey Town Lopburi. This ancient settlement carries an unusual name because numerous Javanese monkeys are part of the city's landscape. You'll take many amusing photos of the monkeys. Sukhothai is Thailand's ancient capital and is considered the birthplace of Thai culture and "Thainess." Sukhothai is rich in historical history and secrets. After arriving in Sukhothai in the afternoon, we check into the hotel and, after a short rest, we take bicycles to visit the Sukhothai Historical Park. The park contains nearly 200 destroyed chedis in remarkable condition. First, we visit the image of the Ajana Buddha, the Buddha's legend told at Wat Srichum. Next, we ride our bicycles to Wat Prapailuang, the community center before the Sukhothai Kingdom emerged in the past. The next temples we will visit are Wat Sri Sawai, Wat Sra Sri, and Wat Trapang Ngoen. Overnight in Sukhothai.

Day 4: Sukothai – Phrae - Lampang (F)

Today, we depart from Sukhothai to Lampang. Along the way, we stop at Phae Mung Pie, also known as the Grand Canyon of Thailand. Over the last 50 years, the landscape has transformed more and more into a canyon-like scenery. After another half-hour drive, we reach Pha Nang Khoi Cave, which is well-known among the locals. We continue on, and after a short drive, you'll switch to a pickup truck. You'll drive over adventurous trails to the Huai Rong Waterfall. The car takes you through picturesque mountain landscapes to Lampang. It's a quaint place where horse-drawn carriages still dominated the streets until the year 2000. You'll admire colorfully decorated carriages and enjoy a half-hour carriage ride through the old town. Overnight in Lampang.

Day 5: Lampang - Phayao - Chiang Rai (F)

Today, in the morning, you will visit Wat Prathat Lampang Luang Temple. This temple sits atop a grassy hill, surrounded by thick walls that still resemble its former fortress-like appearance, making it a prime example of the religious architecture of the ancient Lan Na Kingdom. From Lampang, your journey continues northward. As you drive, you'll be captivated by the beautiful hilly landscape covered in lush tropical vegetation. With each kilometer, traffic diminishes, and you'll enter an exceptionally tranquil region of Thailand. Finally, you'll reach Phayao and its 230-hectare Kwan Phayao, the largest inland lake in Thailand. A romantic boat ride will take you to the 500-year-old Wat Tilok Aram Temple. After the visit, you'll continue your journey northward,and the highlight of the day awaits you: Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple due to its entirely white appearance. After admiring this architectural marvel, you'll head to your hotel in Chiang Rai, located about 8 km away. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 6 Chiang Rai – City Temples (F)

Start by pick you up from your hotel and transfer to visit Wat Phra Kaew the most famous historic temple in Chiang Rai, where the Emerald Buddha was discovered. According to history, in 1354, when King Sam Fang Kaen was the ruler of Chiang Mai, lightning struck anabandoned pagoda and a lacquered Buddha image was found inside. Later, the glazed coat became cracked, and the Emerald Buddha was found. After bringing the Emerald Buddha to be enshrined in Bangkok, the people of Chiang Rai constructed a new Emerald Buddha called "Phra Yok Chiang Rai”. Then visit Wat Phra Sing used to house a major Buddha statue, the Phra Buddha Sihing which is now enshrined in Chiang Mai. A special feature is the Lanna-style Ubosot and the wooden door panels carved by Chiang Rai contemporary craftsmen. There is a door that was designed by Achan Thawan Duchanee, a National Artist in Visual Arts (Painting). It is about earth, water, wind and fire carved by Umnuay Buangam. Then drive to visit Wat Rong Suea Ten (Blue Temple), it is a Temple that was restored by Mr. Phutta Kabkaew or “Sala Nok”, a Local artist of Chiang Rai and a student of Achan Chalermchai Kositpipat. The temple is unusually beautiful with its unique applied arts by using a shade of blue and architectural beauty from a stucco artist.

Afternoon, continue drive north of town for 15min to visit Baan Dam Museum (Black House) is the work of Achan Thawan Duchanee, a National Artist in Visual Arts (Fine Arts). It consists of over 25 buildings of local Northern architecture and many applied local architecture buildings displaying folk art all painted black. These are the creations of local artisans from the past to the present. Each house is decorated with beautiful patterns of carved wood. They exhibit a large crocodile skin, snake skin, and different kinds of animal horns. The Baan Dam Museum is an art piece that creates imagination for the viewers in many perspectives and is also a collection of items used in daily life of the past. Last visit at Wat Huay Pla Kang, important buildings include the Phop Chok Dhamma Chedi, a nine-storey chedi in a contemporary architectural style. The exterior chedi in a contemporary architectural style. The exterior is built in layers, and every floor is roofed in a Chinese style decorated with dragons surrounding it. The top of the chedi enshrines an inverted bell-shaped chedi in an authentic Thai style and the top tier is decorated in Burmese art. The interior is decorated in the European style.Inside the chedi, there is a replica of the Guan Im Bodhisattva carved with fragrant wood.

Day7: Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Chiang Mai (F)

Your day begins with a journey to the famous Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Myanmar/Burma, and Laos converge amid the Mekong River, forming the so-called Three Country Corner. You'll continue with a leisurely boat ride on the renowned Mekong River. Enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery along the way. Upon reaching Chiang Saem, you'll disembark from the boat and visit the ancient temple complex, Wat Chedi Luang, and then explore the city wall. Day 8: Chiang Mai – Highlight Of Chiang Mai (F)

This amazing sightseeing tour will take you around Chiang Mai for an up-close and personal look at some of its most notable highlights: it will include stops at temples, old city walls, gates and moat, as well as at the local market. This original tour includes a visit at Wat Chiang Man, the city’s oldest temple and famous for a Chedi supported by rows of elephantine buttresses. It also includes a stop at Wat Phrasing, which is home of the beautiful Lai Kham chapel with its exquisite woodcarving and northern style murals. We will then go to Wat Chedi Luang and its enormous Pagoda (which was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545) before heading to Wat Suan Dok, which dates back to the 14th century when the Thai monarchy was taking leisure walks in its gardens. Nowadays it houses several white Chedis, all containing the ashes of Chiang Mai’s former Royal family, and features one of the most famous Monk Schools in the whole locality of Chiang Mai.

Afternoon, features a scenic drive through the most historic areas of Chiang Mai, and includes a pass through the old city walls, city gates and moat. We will then drive around Chiang Mai’s popular areas, pass a local market, some foreign consulates and government buildings, drive by ‘Tapae Gate’ before continuing to the acclaimed temple Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. The temple is home to a holy relic of the Lord Buddha and considered by many to be the most sacred Wat in northern Thailand.
